This month, the Laffer Center for Supply-Side Economics, a project of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, published a new report, “Taxes Really Do Matter: Look at the States.”  The report reviews the data on how state tax rates affect various measurements of economic growth and debunks the criticisms raised by groups advocating for progressive income taxes at the state level. This week, we bring you an exclusive interview with the center’s namesake, Dr. Arthur Laffer, founder and chairman of Laffer Associates and member of President Ronald Reagan’s Economic Policy Advisory Board in both of his terms.
